Training and support

As an Allstate Agent you will go to market prepared. Our education program provides a comprehensive foundation and it's free to you and your entire staff.

Allstate has an intensive 5-8 weeks of education which covers products, technology, and sales techniques with professional educators at the regional office and home office with some courses offered online. You will also have a Field Sales Leader who will give you on-going consultative support for business planning, business results reviews and marketing processes.

We are looking for entrepreneurs who want to own their own business with No Franchise Fees, No Sign-On Fees Or Royalties, and are attracted by unlimited economic potential, are driven by success, and have capital to invest. Insurance experience is not required. Many of our successful agents have come from various backgrounds in other industries. Excellent business management skills or prior business ownership are desirable.

Why has the Allstate business model been successful?

Allstate is one of the most recognizable brands in the country. This makes selling our insurance products that much easier. You don’t have to explain to a customer who we are and what we do. Most customers know our slogan, "Are you in good hands?" We also offer a ton of support to our agents so they are "on their own," but not "by themselves."
Can you tell me something about your business that sets you apart from your competition?

One of the key advantages of becoming an Allstate EA is that you will own the Economic Interest in your book of business from day one. This means that you have the ability to sell this Economic Interest to a qualified buyer or back to the company if you so choose. We are the only captive insurance agency model that offers this.
What is your favorite advice to give a potential franchisee?

You don’t have to have insurance experience to start an Allstate agency. We have an excellent training program that will get you up to speed on the business. You just need to bring a “go-getter” attitude with a customer service orientation.
What about your industry is the most attractive to a potential buyer?

The insurance industry is very stable. Through all of the ups and downs of the economy, insurance is one of those things that customers must have, no matter what the stock market is doing.
