What is Kids' Nite Out Across America®?
The Kids' Nite Out Across America® program was founded in 1991 in Westminster, Colorado with a simple mission: Provide safe and exciting programs, keep kids active, and allow them to have fun in a safe environment!
Today that mission still applies. Each month, we serve over 15,000 kids – and with our nationwide expansion - that number is growing rapidly!
The Kids' Nite Out Across America® (KNOAA) program is a partnership between a community facility (recreation center, YMCA, JCC, school, church, etc.) and a Kids' Nite Out Across America® franchisee. We take pride in providing a wide variety of activities for kids to choose from, with most taking place in the gym area and in the dance room.
In the gym, we run games and contests like basketball, scooter hockey, dodgeball, lacrosse, soccer, kickball, football, and relay races. We also have inflatables, which can include a bounce house, a giant slide, or an obstacle course. In the dance room, the kids can cut loose to their favorite songs. Disc jockeys are hired and trained and play only music that has been pre-approved, edited, and deemed appropriate. The DJ runs dance contests and games throughout the night to encourage the kids to participate.
Parents love our program! It gives them the opportunity to enjoy an evening together every week knowing their children are participating in activities in a safe, structured, and supervised setting. Our safety features include having a uniformed police officer on duty for the duration of our program, having criminal and sex-offender background checks run on all counselors, and maintaining a ratio of at least one counselor for every 20 children.

Our program enables you to start your own business with an initial investment as low as $30,250.00, which includes your initial franchise fee of $24,500.00 for one franchise. The facility that you contract with, as well as the counselors, DJ, police officers, etc., are paid on a per-night basis, so you are only incurring these expenses on the nights that you actually run the program.

How does a Kids' Nite Out Across America® franchise owner make money?
Most locations collect between $10 and $15 per child at the door. Aside from the door revenue, another revenue source comes from the sale of concession and miscellaneous items. These consist of pizza, nachos, hot dogs, chips, pretzels, candy, soda pop, sports drinks, bottled water, and a prize redemption center where novelty items can be purchased or redeemed with prize cards. Many franchisees make a considerable additional profit from their concession stands.
