Franchise Chain offers vets $2,500 discount as part of IFA VetFran Program

Ann Arbor, MI, - Shannon Toler, president 1-800-DryClean franchise, hailed the more than 700 veterans who have acquired nearly 1100 franchises as part of VetFran, the International Association’s Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative.

"We salute all the men and women who courageously served our country, and who are now experiencing their American Dream as franchise business owners," said Toler. "At 1-800-Dryclean, more than ten percent of our owners are veterans. They rank high in our franchise organization because of their military training, sense of duty, and commitment to our mission."

Several of the 1-800-DryClean owners with military service include Michael and Brandy Pope of Oahu, Hawaii. Michael is a career officer with the US Army and is currently deployed in Iraq. Brandy is the drill sergeant at home raising three wonderful children.

Steve Melton, owner in Olympia, Washington, served our country for 30 years as a non-commissioned officer in the Army before hitching up with 1-800-DryClean.

And before his tour with 1-800-DryClean, Rodney Bucher, owner in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was a decorated submariner. "The VetFran discount from 1-800 helped us make our decision," said Bucher.
