BrightStar Franchise Offers Full Continuum of Homecare, Childcare, Staffing and Support Services

Compelled by a need to find quality homecare for a family member, the founders of BrightStar began as a family business in 2002 with a goal of providing the full continuum of homecare, childcare and medical staffing services for individuals, families and healthcare facilities. The company's "Yes, we can!" mentality allowed it to quickly grow into a national franchise - the only one of its kind – offering three revenue streams with in-home care, medical staffing and national accounts.

Since its beginnings, BrightStar has received several awards recognizing its rapid growth, advanced systems technology and senior leadership in addition to being featured in major national media sources, including Fox News, Entrepreneur Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal.

According to the franchise's marketing manager, Erin Schmidt, BrightStar will continue to offer its franchisees a bright future by providing services to the largest and fastest growing market segment in the US:  seniors. "BrightStar is one of the few companies that serves multiple market segments, including care for adults and seniors in their homes, well and sick childcare, and a full range of medical staffing services. We are also the only one in our industry that can provide all levels of care for children.  That means we attract a larger number of clients and higher profits."

Schmidt says potential franchisees for BrightStar should have strong management, marketing and sales backgrounds due to the nature of the business. "This business is about making friends and doing what you say you will do. A background in healthcare is NOT necessary. Technical expertise doesn't always translate to an ability to work with others and make great things happen."

Since its inception, BrightStar has grown to more than 150 locations nationwide which the company attributes to its proven business model and technology. BrightStar employs their Athena Business System (ABS) web-based management system which allows its franchisees to focus on sales instead of paperwork. "No one else has anything like it," said Schmidt.

New owners are supported through a 90 to 120 day pre-opening cycle which includes a four day on site training session, a five day on site opening training session, and more than 100 hours of online training courses and webinars. Owners also have access to BrightStar's staff to assist them in setting up their office, hiring staff and developing their market throughout the pre-opening process.
