54 Year Old to Open in Los Gatos, California![]() Posted on December 13, 2007 by Bill Dube
San Jose, Calif. - Dennis Mulgannon, President of Athletic Nation announced the signing of the company's tenth new franchise gym owner of 2007. Carlos Gallegos of San Jose executed his agreement at the Athletic Nation corporate office today. Mr. Gallegos, a 14 year real estate broker veteran went through a life transforming sky diving accident that left him bedridden for 18 months while in his late twenties. Carlos said, "When the doctor removed the cast from my right leg it had atrophied to literally skin and bone. I went to a gym to rehabilitate and within three months my body had transformed from skinny and weak to lean and muscular. I was hooked." He adds, "I kept working out until I turned 40 and then got married, had kids and a long and successful real estate career...but I neglected the gym. Last year my thirteen year old son asked me to work out with him. After a couple of months I noticed my son getting stronger and myself going from pudgy and soft to lean and muscular again!" Asked why he decided to go forward with Athletic Nation, Carlos said, "I always wanted to own a gym. When I was researching franchises in the fitness industry on the Internet I discovered Athletic Nation and went to their web site and downloaded and read Dennis' book. It was everything I believe in and practice. I can't wait to open my doors and have guys experience what it feels like to be physically fit again." Athletic Nation is a franchisor of Men's Personal Training Gyms with locations in California, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Arizona. The company is developing franchised gyms throughout the U.S. The personal training program is based on the book "Reality Fitness in 90 Days...For Men". Prospective franchisees are encouraged to contact the company for further information.
