A cool franchise concept![]() Posted on October 25, 2010 by Stacey Fousse One of the most exciting franchise businesses in the United States today is shaved ice. The inexpensive treat will almost always get children and people of all ages coming back and could lead to increased profits for years to come.Among the most highly touted of the shaved ice franchises is Kona Ice. After starting the business only three years ago, the franchise's founder, Tony Lamb, has already found a tremendous amount of success with his unique concept. The Business Courier reports that Lamb has sold 122 trucks to franchisees in the short period of time and is confident in his business model. He said that people were eager to take advantage of the franchise opportunity based on its high satisfaction rate. "A lot of franchise building is through validation, where the existing franchisees tell the new people coming in how well they're doing," Lamb said in an interview with the news provider. "We have almost 100 percent validation, and we've had over 30 people buy their second and third trucks." By creating a lasting brand with low costs, franchises can make a business model that achieves success more often than not. By focusing on customers' needs and not making the overhead costs too imposing, franchises will be able to find business partners across the country.
