A First Half Blowout…L&W Investigations Ends 2nd Quarter 2008 with Best Month Ever![]() Posted on August 07, 2008 by Pete Kosowski L&W Investigations, the foremost private investigations firm specializing in insurance cases and claims, enjoyed a first half quite similar to the Boston Celtics’ championship-clinching performance in Game 6. The Westborough, Massachusetts-based investigations company ended its first half with an historic June 2008, up 56 percent over June 2007, which makes it the largest month ever for the company in terms of cases invoiced. In addition to being an all-time record month, June 2008 marks the sixth consecutive month that L&W’s gross receipts have topped the previous month’s receipts. Overall for 2008, L&W Investigations is up 38 percent in cases invoiced from the first half of 2007. “What’s extremely encouraging about June’s results is that about 50 percent of the cases invoiced are still in process. So, we could quite possibly be looking at another record month in July,” said Neal Lyons, chairman and CEO of L&W Investigations, Inc. “Perhaps what makes these financial results even more gratifying is that L&W offices continue to receive accolades from clients on their investigative work in their prospective markets. So not only are we achieving volume but sustaining the quality of service.” A large part of L&W’s 2008 success can be attributed to an expanding roster of clients. Among the new clients L&W has added are: Nationwide, Aflac, United Auto Insurance Company, City Of Clearwater Florida, Illinois Mutual Life, Pep Boys Automotive and HP Hood. “The formula we’ve created with L&W Investigations—local investigations offices supported by national network—is working, even in the face of some very trying economic times,” said Lyons. “That’s why as happy as we are with the first half results, we know it means working just as hard if not harder to repeat that success in the second half of 2008. Fortunately, I believe we have the right team in place at all our offices to make that happen.” L&W Investigations works exclusively on workers compensation, disability, liability, auto and property claims. With its network of investigations offices across the U.S. and Canada, Puerto Rico and the Hawaiian Islands, L&W boasts a client roster of more than 125 clients, ranging from insurance companies to third-party administrators, self-insured companies to law firms and municipalities.
