Allstate hands out awards

When it comes to success as an Allstate frachisee, one local agency in Zaneville, Michigan, is taking home some big honors.

The Zaneville-Times recorder reports that the national insurance franchise recently handed out awards to the Zaneville Allstate branch as part of its honors for work completed during 2009. The local agency took home several awards, including both the Chairman's and President's Conference, awards after having a successful year in the sale of insurance.

One of the biggest winners was Tracey Bateson, who was given the Chairman's Conference Award. The prize is handed out to agents who maintain high standards in customer retention, satisfaction and profitable business growth. Only a select few, 9 percent, meet the criteria for the award, which is given to different branches throughout the country.

The President's Conference Award is a bit easier to come by, with 13 percent of agents getting the award in 2009. One of the recipients of this prize was Kelly Jefferies, who works in the area.

Allstate made headlines recently when it was announced that it would sponsor a November 20 college football game between Big Ten rivals Northwestern University and the University of Illinois.
