Battery retail giant consistently moves up the ranks of coveted list

Hartland, WI – Batteries Plus, the nation’s largest and fastest growing battery retailer with 420 locations in 44 states and access to 40,000 types of batteries and accessories, announced today that the franchise has been named to the 2010 Inc. 5000 list. This is the fourth consecutive year that Batteries Plus has received this honor.

The annual list put together by Inc. magazine represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. Batteries Plus ranked #2645 on this year’s list, up from #3143 in 2009 and #4010 in 2008.

The 2010 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held, for profit, independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2009. Revenue generated in 2006 must have been at least $100,000, and revenue in 2009 must have been at least $2 million.
