Bristol Seafood Grill Gives Guests the “Royal” Treatment at the 15th Annual Benefit at the Bristol

Posted on October 26, 2010 by Jessica Dees

Leawood, KS — What originally started as the grand opening for a community restaurant has become one of the most sought after tickets in town. On November 1, Bristol Seafood Grill will celebrate 15 years as Truman Medical Centers’ (TMC) partner when they host the 15th Annual Benefit at the Bristol—a benefit for TMC Behavioral Health programs and services. In total, Bristol Seafood Grill has helped the TMC Charitable Foundation raise nearly $1 million for TMC Behavioral Health over the last 15 years.

\"This is a community driven event with one very important goal—to help a local hospital continue to provide quality health care to our community,\" said Bristol Seafood Grill’s General Manager Phil Tumberger. \"It’s inspiring to see our employees and members of local businesses donate their time to be part of such a special night. Each year is more rewarding than the last.\"

The evening will feature members of the 1985 Kansas City Royals, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their World Series Championship. Popular jazz ensemble The John Doubleday Trio featuring Millie Edwards will provide endless entertainment while guests mingle amongst each other and enjoy some of Bristol Seafood Grill’s mouth-watering food selections, including Bloody Mary Shrimp, Sliced Beef Tenderloin, Tuna Tartar, Chicken Spring Rolls and assorted salads and Antipasti. Local vendors Boulevard Brewery, Standard Beverage and Roasterie are providing the beer, wine and coffee, respectively. Bristol Seafood Grill’s staff will also volunteer their time for the event.

\"The outpouring of support we have received from Bristol Seafood Grill and their staff for the past 15 years is a wonderful gift,\" said David Fulk, Philanthropy Director with the TMC Charitable Foundation, \"We are fortunate to have such a well-known community partner providing a home for this popular event year after year.\"
