CEO of Mr. Handyman elected to IFA Board of Directors![]() Posted on November 05, 2010 by Stacey Fousse One of the top franchising leaders in the United States was recently named to the board of directors of a noted advocacy agency.Todd Recknagel, the president and CEO of Mr. Handyman, was appointment to the International Franchise Association Board of Directors after being elected by his colleagues. In his time with the home repair franchise, Recknagel has overseen the sale of more than 300 franchise systems to people throughout the United States. He has also helped to achieve sales of $70 million in the past year, making his brand the largest employer of handymen anywhere in the world. "Being a part of the IFA Board of Directors is an honor for me and I am excited to work closely with other industry leaders to promote franchising worldwide," said Recknagel. "This is an important time for franchising, especially in my home state of Michigan." The IFA was in the headlines recently after it announced that media mogul Steve Forbes would be a keynote speaker at its annual conference in 2011. IFA Chairman Ken Walker said that Forbes would provide "valuable perspective for IFA members."
