Car care franchise owners win IFA award

Two car care franchisees were recently honored for excellence by one of the most recognizable franchise associations in the world.

The International Franchise Association has honored Joseph Saelens and Carl Kampmeier of Madison, Wisconsin, for successfully running a Meineke Car Care Center in the area. At the IFA's Public Affairs Conference, the men were given the coveted Franchise of the Year Award, which was not easy to come by. According to the IFA's leadership, the two men deserved the recognition for their hard work.

"The IFA is proud to recognize the outstanding efforts of Joseph and Carl with the Franchisee of the Year Award,” said IFA chairman Ken Walker. “The franchising community is an important component of the U.S. economy due to the hard work of these exemplary individuals who have helped bolster the growth of the industry.”

According to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, the auto-repair business is one of the most popular franchises around today. The group estimates that there are 165,000 repair shops in the United States.
