Edible Arrangements hosts conference in Washington, D.C.

In our nation's capital, one of the fastest-growing franchises in the country recently held a conference for 500 attendees in what was their first annual meeting.

The Washington Post reports that Edible Arrangements, the fruit design maker, recently held a meeting at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. The franchise hoped that the meeting would serve as a positive experience to those who had opened up their own franchises.

The person responsible for making sure everything ran smoothly was Joel Kalinowski, the meeting planner.

In an interview with the news source prior to the event, Kalinowski said that the whole thing was "really coming together. The team here has been great, and I've heard nothing but good things from our franchisees."

One of the reasons that the franchise chose the location is because of its proximity to the halls of Congress, a place where they are looking to have influence.

Attendees at the event were likely encouraged to run their stores as well as Scott Greenberg, an Edible Arrangements franchisee in Los Angeles, California. Greenberg was recently given the "Best Customer Service" award for his stores' efforts.
