All three centers are slated to open during the first half of 2010. These agreements are the latest step in the company's program to increase overall franchise unit growth, expanding through a combination of new center development and conversions of existing independent sign shops. "The current economic climate presents a great growth opportunity for FASTSIGNS, as graphics and signage are key components of any business to attract customers and establish brand identity," said Brian Wieters, Assistant Vice President of Franchise Development for FASTSIGNS. "We are excited to start the year off with these new locations and look forward to continuing our growth throughout 2010." Adding to its commitment to recruiting well-qualified franchisee candidates, FASTSIGNS recently launched an aggressive franchise development campaign focusing on its conversion program. Officially announced in 2009, the program focuses on recruiting existing independent sign shops who want to expand and grow their business by becoming a FASTSIGNS sign and graphic center. Under the FASTSIGNS umbrella, the converted shops have full access to the brand name, training, marketing, management, technical support and operations resources. "Our growth creates tremendous opportunities for new franchisees," Wieters said, adding that the company's franchisee performance continues to consistently outpace the competition. "We take great pride in our commitment to providing world class leadership, service and support to our franchise partners with a primary focus on their profitability, satisfaction and success."
