Fitness Together Announces Expansion Plans for Illinois

Personal training giant to add 30 more studios to the region

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. - Fitness Together Franchise Corporation, the national one-on-one personal training giant, is launching an expansion campaign designed to add 30 more fitness studios throughout Illinois, with a dozen targeted for the second half of 2010.

The expansion addresses the rising demand for one of the fastest-growing franchises in the $14 billion health and fitness industry as more than 55 percent of the U.S. population is considered overweight.

Fitness Together has 14 studios in Illinois and, based on their success, believes the area is ready for more. Through its unique approach to fitness and nutrition, Fitness Together offers one-on-one sessions customized for each client's goals with the guidance of a personal trainer in a private workout suite. And the company is rapidly adding to its network of 357 locations.

"Even in a slow economy, the fitness and wellness industry has maintained steady growth," says Bob Haimes, executive vice president and chief growth officer for Fitness Together. "As the general public becomes more health conscious and the aging population places a greater value on staying active, demand for personal trainers is growing and our Fitness Together franchise owners are filling a unique niche in their communities. We plan to add 30 more locations in greater Chicago and throughout Illinois to answer the call."

Honored as one of Dun & Bradstreet's "AllBusiness Franchise AllStars" for 2010, Fitness Together is raising the bar for the industry and will host a "Making Your Future Fit" franchise event for a select audience in Chicago.
