Fitness Together Announces Six Months of Consecutive Growth in Same-Studio Sales And Targets Franchise Expansion in Illinois

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.- Fitness Together Franchise Corporation, the national one-on-one personal training giant, has announced six months of consecutive growth in average same-studio sales nationwide as consumers put a higher value on staying fit. The trend has poised the company for growth, and Fitness Together has named Illinois as its next place to expand.

From January through June of 2010, sales were up across the chain of 337 locations. Fourteen of those locations are in Illinois, where demographics and demand support adding some 30 more studios throughout the state. Fitness Together is targeting approximately 12 of those studios to open in the second half of this year.

"The best way to combat rising healthcare costs is to put exercise and nutrition first," said Bob Haimes, executive vice president and chief growth officer for Fitness Together. "Contrary to the economy, people are taking control of their health and wellness by visiting our fitness studios in growing numbers. And we're supporting that momentum by sharing our franchise opportunity and opening up the Illinois market for our next phase of expansion."
