Forbes to speak at IFA convention![]() Posted on November 04, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin The editor-in-chief of one of the most popular business magazines will be one of two keynote speakers at one of the most popular franchising events next year.The International Franchising Association has announced that Steve Forbes, the chairman and CEO of Forbes Media, will deliver the address at the end of the meeting on February 16, 2011, at the 51st International Franchise Association Annual Convention. "Steve Forbes’ extensive experience in business, politics and the economy will provide valuable perspective for IFA members as the franchise industry strives to grow in today’s difficult economic climate,” said IFA chairman Ken Walker, chairman and CEO of Driven Brands. “We look forward to hearing Steve Forbes’ outlook on the economy, particularly the opportunities and challenges, including the lack of access to credit, for the small business and franchising industry." Forbes will be joined by former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney at the event. The IFA announced recently it had chosen Romney based on his experience in both business and politics.
