Franchise consultant touts business model![]() Posted on November 10, 2010 by Stacey Fousse When a person wants to run his or her own business, but not necessarily take on the risks associated with going out into the business world on their own with no support structure, the solution, for many, has been the world of franchising.People all over the world have found that linking up with a brand can be just what they needed to both create long-term financial security and also learn about different industries. Franchise consultant Robert Brumer says that entrepreneurs have a high level of success compared to other small business owners. "Franchising is a business model and the primary purpose is to minimize one's risk; just about every study done on the success rate of new businesses concludes that franchises have a much higher success rate," said Brumer. "This is because startups have a learning curve and the market isn't very tolerant of inexperience." No matter what type of franchising opportunity one chooses to pursue, it can have lasting benefits. Following the tested business model gives those associated with national brands a leg up on the competition.
