Franchise partnerships can lead to success

Posted on September 29, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin

Franchising is a big investment for most people, and one that can mean financial risks. Many are nervous about taking the risks all by themselves and often look for ways to better protect themselves from taking on too much debt. One of the best ways to share the risk and possible rewards is by teaming up with a partner to purchase a franchise.

According to one franchising blog, while it is good to have more than one person at the helm of a newly acquired franchise, it is also important that the new person to be trustworthy. At FranNet.com, experts point out that it knowing who you're getting into business with is half the battle.

"Don’t start a business with someone you don’t really know, can’t express your opinions and ideas with, and whose expectations you don’t understand," the website suggests. "Test-drive a potential partnership with small projects that highlight each of your skills, require cooperation, and helps you learn about each other’s work personality and core values."

There are many success stories when it comes to starting a franchise with someone else. According to an article on BNet.com, best friends Nick Friedman and Omar Soliman started their very own moving franchise and have been able to earn a good living as a result.
