Franchises can benefit from hiring military veterans![]() Posted on November 15, 2010 by Stacey Fousse Franchises from coast to coast have made it a priority to employ military veterans who have returned home from duty and are looking for a way to earn a living.Among the franchisees who have utilized the skills of veterans is Steve Zarndt, who runs a ReBath in Illinois. McClatchy-Tribune reports that Zarndt, who himself served in the military, was recently honored with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Award, also known as the Patriotic Employer award. Zarndt said that while he took pride in employing a good number of veterans, he wasn't expecting the award. "I had the dumbest look on my face," he told the news service with a chuckle. "Instead of just accepting the fate that you employ members of the military, I embrace the fact that we get to employ them and they're very special individuals." According to its website, ReBath offers franchisees the opportunity to take advantage of patented products, state-of-the art installation techniques and the largest variety of products, colors, patterns and styles.
