Franchising leaders meet overseas![]() Posted on October 13, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin World leaders in the franchising industry are meeting for a conference in South Korea in order to plan for the future and celebrate the past.The four-day meeting, which is taking place at the JW Marriott Hotel and the Seoul Trade Exhibition Center, will host people from all over the world. Attendees from 38 different countries, including the United States, are at the World Franchise meeting, where leaders have gathered in order to trade knowledge and discuss the keys to running a successful franchise. Representatives from the host country said that they were pleased to be able to promote franchising. “The World Franchise Meeting is an international festival that draws leaders from the global franchise industry,” a Korea Franchise Association executive remarked. “This is a good chance to raise Korea’s brand value and promote the superiority of Korea’s franchise brands and Korean food.” In the United States, other leaders have gathered during conferences to discuss franchising opportunities. At a meeting of the New England Franchise Association, International Franchise Association president Stephen Caldeira said that "franchisors [were] taking bold steps to maintain momentum."
