Fuddruckers attracts customers with off-beat menu![]() Posted on July 22, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin Many food franchises are looking for ways to attract customers with off-beat menu items. One Texas-based chain is giving diners the opportunity to order exotic hamburgers that many have never dreamed of getting.Fuddruckers recently introduced a half-pound elk burger to its already different line of Fudds Exotics, which also includes a half-pound buffalo burger. By offering these unusual animals on its menu, Fuddruckers has been able to separate itself from the massive number of burger chains across the United States. According to Nation's Restaurant News, the franchise is also turning to social media in order to help promote its new offerings. "To raise consumer awareness about the elk burger and the entire Fudds Exotics menu, Fuddruckers this week launched a Facebook.com contest for fans called Exotic Fridays, which gives participants a chance to [win] a $50 gift certificate in exchange for their posting of exotics icon[s] on their Facebook profile page," the magazine said. Fuddruckers made headlines recently after being purchased by Luby's, a cafeteria chain. The company paid $61 million for Magic Brands, which owns both Fuddruckers and Koo Koo Roo.
