Panel Members Will Share Expertise on "Closing the Sale"

SEATTLE, Wash. – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that Jim Belanger, president, will be a panel member at one of the Franchise Development Super Sessions, hosted by the International Franchise Association (IFA), at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel, Nov. 5-6, 2008.

The Super Sessions are held immediately before the IFA’s West Coast Franchise Expo, Nov. 7-9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Gamer Doc will be exhibiting at the Expo in booth #905.

The topic is "Closing the Sale," and Mr. Belanger will be joined by Greg Tanner, national director of franchising for Aaron’s Sales & Leasing. The panel discussion will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 3:45 – 5:00 p.m. The Super Session program focuses on providing valuable tools and strategies to franchise development professionals who are looking for the most effective methods for building their franchise systems in today’s marketplace.

Mr. Belanger and Mr. Tanner will share their expertise on topics such as knowing the timeframe for successfully closing the sale, how to build a relationship with the best candidates, training for better validation, tips for conducting an effective Discovery Day, and how to establish a closing date and bring the deal to fruition.

"I have been involved in the franchise industry for more than 30 years, and the IFA is a great organization that provides tremendous resources for its members," Belanger said. "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to share my experience and insights with other franchise professionals." Mr. Belanger’s experience includes serving as senior vice president of franchise development for Play N Trade video games, COO of Faces Cosmetics, Inc., where he directed operations of franchises and company stores, as well as director of operations for Hickory Farms. His background includes serving as divisional vice president of Rent-A-Center and president of RentClub, Inc., and he has also held executive positions with Poppin’ Fresh Pies, Bally’s Tom Foolery and Sierra Tucson.
