Hardee's honors dads

A fast-growing burger franchise recently made headlines when it announced a new contest to find the best dads in St. Louis.

Hardee's recently partnered with Tony Dungy's All Pro Dad program in order to find the city's best father , the St. Louis Globe-Democrat reports]. From November 20 to December 5, customers will be able to write a few sentences about why their dads deserve the distinction. The prize for the winner will include four tickets to the December 26 Rams game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Franchises from around the area are gearing up for the event with many different promotions. The Crestwood Hardee's gave prizes and hosted an autograph signing session for first 50 dads who showed up on November 20. Also in attendance were the official Rams cheerleaders.

The NFL franchise and the chain restaurant are also hosting an event to raise money for a local hospital.

"Hardee's and the St. Louis Rams are sponsoring the Shriners Hospitals for Children All Pro Dad 'Father & Kids Experience' on Saturday, December 4, from 2-5 p.m. at the Ram's Russell Training Center," the paper reported. Aeneas Williams, a former safety for the Rams, will be present at the event along with Happy Star.

Honoring people for good parenting is a great way to increase sales for food franchises. Customers will take pride in giving their parents recognition while taking advantage of promotions at the same time.
