Galveston, TX - For the second year in a row, Amazing Spaces Storage Centers of Houston joined with the Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) to raise funds for the Shriners Hospitals for Children located in Galveston. The statewide "Make a Difference" campaign encourages area residents to help support the financial needs of the hospital, which suffered significant damage during Hurricane Ike in 2008 and is in the process of rebuilding.

Additionally, donations are needed for the hospital's endowment fund, which ensures that every child receives the care he or she needs, regardless of economic standing. The TSSA has supported the work of the Shriners Children's Hospital for the past seven years. In 2008, donations raised by the organization reached $197,000, and the TSSA hopes to raise even more this year. Donations to the TSSA "Make a Difference" campaign will be accepted at all three Amazing Spaces Storage Centers until October 8, 2009.

All proceeds go directly to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Galveston. The 2009 TSSA "Make a Difference" campaign will conclude with the annual convention to be held in The Woodlands from October 25-28, 2009, with a Texas Hold 'Em Charity Poker Tournament and silent auction.
