IFA names 'Franchisee of the Year' winner

The International Franchise Association has given its "Franchisee of the Year" award to a pair of franchisees for going above and beyond the call of duty.

PostNet, a business supply franchise, recently announced that franchisees Jim and David Petty would receive the award from the IFA after their long hours of dedication to the business model. Jim, who previously worked as a corporate executive and David, who worked in real estate, started their franchise in 2000. The franchise opportunity was so alluring that Jim decided to come out of retirement to pursue it.

"The Pettys have proven themselves year after year as dedicated franchisees who do what it takes to achieve tremendous results; they serve as a great inspiration for the entire PostNet franchise system," said Steve Greenbaum, CEO of PostNet. "We are exceedingly proud that the IFA recognized Jim and David as exceptional franchisees and individuals."

The Canadian arm of the franchise, PostNet Canada, recently earned the Forest Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody. The award was certified by the Rainforest Alliance Smartwood Program in honor of the company's efforts to go "green."
