IFA names franchisee of the year![]() Posted on November 22, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin Franchising opportunities not only provide financial security to people from all over the world, but they are also a way for those who find success to get rewarded for the their hard work.One of the most recent honorees is Phil Collins of North Carolina. The International Franchising Association gave the multiple Maaco franchise location owner the Franchisee of the Year Award for his continuing market growth. The leader of the IFA, Ken Walker, said that Collins deserved the recognition. "The IFA is proud to recognize Phil's outstanding efforts with the Franchisee of the Year Award," said Walker, who also serves as CEO for Driven Brands. "The franchising community is an important component of the U.S. economy due to the hard work of exemplary individuals who have helped bolster the growth of the industry." Walker made other franchising news recently when he named a new member of the IFA's board. Mr. Handyman President and CEO Todd Recknagler will join the group in an official capacity on February 16, 2011.
