IFA president and CEO joins Chamber of Commerce committee

Posted on November 19, 2010 by Stacey Fousse

The head of one of the leading franchise advocacy organizations was recently named to the Chamber of Commerce Association Committee of 100.

The president and CEO of the International Franchising Association, Steve Caldeira, was named to the committee, which functions as a networking group for business leaders around the country. The group meets periodically to build lasting partnerships and discuss current events and what effect they will have on the business community.

Upon hearing the hearing the news, Caldeira said that it was a big step forward for the franchising community and that he looked forward to sharing his knowledge with the rest of the group.

"Being selected to serve on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 is truly a recognition of the economic impact the franchising industry has on the U.S. and global economy," said Caldeira. "Without question, serving on this committee provides a very unique forum in which to learn, share, align, and strategize on key public policy issues of great importance to the business community."

When becoming a bigger part of the business community as a whole, people will look to franchises for financial security. The more aware entrepreneurs are about the opportunities available to them, then the more likely they are to purchase one of their own.
