Internet a powerful new tool for franchises

Among the most popular new ways to find out about franchises is through internet searches. Now, more than ever before, people are able to find out about new opportunities all while sitting at home.

One of the the most recent examples of a person finding out about a franchise opportunity through the web is Philip Breeze, a former software programmer. The News Herald Reports that Breeze opened up his very own Flip Flop Shop in Panama Beach, Florida, after going online to look for a business to open.

The new franchisee said that he had decided to open up the retail store after not finding any comparable stores in the area.

"I purchased the franchise because I was frustrated with trying to buy flip flops this time of year,” Breeze said. “There is no one else that does just flip flops."

Other areas in Florida also got the chance to experience Flip Flop Shops with openings across the state. The Orlando Sentinel reports that a store opened up this past summer in Orlando's Florida Mall.
