![]() KLA Franchise, LLC, Awards Franchise for Pembroke Pines, Florida![]() Posted on July 08, 2010 by Suzanne Musial Early childhood education franchise inspired by widely recognized Reggio Emilia approach KLA Franchise, LLC, formally announced the signing of a franchise agreement to open a childcare learning franchise school in Pembroke Pines, Florida. "I am pleased to announce that we awarded a KLA Franchise to co-owners, Ms. Cristina Muci and Ms. Patricia Monaco, who met our qualifications for passion, experience, values and resources," said Roberta Ortega, who along with his wife, Candy, co-founded KLA Franchise. "The Pembroke Pines market is a thriving area with parents who want their children to be cared for, but also to learn in a nurturing and stimulating environment." "We decided to pursue a business opportunity that involved our shared passion for children and their interactions with their surroundings," said Christina Muci. "As we researched more about the KLA system, we knew we wanted to develop a Reggio Emilia inspired learning center." Lifelong educator, innovator and creative philosopher, Loris Malaguzzi, started the Reggio Emilia approach in the Italian province of Reggio Emilia after World War II. Malaguzzi believed that " the wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences. We must widen the range of topics and goals, the types of situations we offer and their degree of structure, the kinds and combinations of resources and materials, and the possible interactions with things, peers, and adults ." "The KLA Franchise is not a cookie cutter child-care learning center, but an environment where each child's abilities, competence, and natural aptitude, are nurtured in ways that develop new and inherent talents," said Jim Steger, KLA Franchise director of franchising. "There's genuine and growing interest in our business model. Our goal is to create a community of Reggio Emilia inspired franchised schools throughout America. "We are both professionals seeking a new opportunity as a way to experience the joy of working with children and developing a successful and profitable business," said Patricia Monaco. "With the Ortega's education background and Jim Steger's franchise experience and our work ethic, creativity, enthusiasm and business acumen, we will be successful as KLA franchise owners."
