KOKO FITCLUB SIGNS MULTI-UNIT AGREEMENT FOR MICHIGAN

First Location to Open in Canton this Spring

BOSTON, MA: KoKo FitClub, LLC, the technology company that is reinventing the health club franchise business, today announced the company's expansion into Michigan. Longtime Michigan resident, Jay Little, will open the state's first Koko FitClub location in Canton this Spring as part of a multi-unit area development agreement.

With locations opening across the United States and Canada, Koko FitClub has accomplished what no other fitness franchise can: it uses technology to customize and completely automate a personal training workout. Koko replaces costly personal trainers with computer programming, totally changing the workout experience for its co-ed membership. For owners, the company's technology provides an easy-to-operate franchise business.

Through its patented Koko Smartraining System™-which was developed with assistance from the MIT Center for Sport Innovation-Koko FitClub's technology precisely analyzes each member's unique fitness level and designs a customized training plan based on the individual's fitness goals and ability. Jay Little found KoKo FitClub after weathering three rounds of downsizing in his career as a quality assurance manager in the chemical industry. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, starting his own business was always a goal, and the downsizing was an opportunity. "I don't want my future in other people's hands," says Little.

He found Koko during what was originally intended to be an academic exercise. "Through an outplacement program, I took a day session on how to evaluate franchise opportunities." He picked Koko FitClub as his test case and he never looked back. The more he researched, the better the opportunity sounded. "I never ran into a hurdle that I couldn't overcome!" And, says Little, the Koko FitClub franchise model provides plenty of support to get his clubs up and running.

Little is also excited about what this means for his personal fitness life. A lifelong athlete, (Little swam competitively at Hope College in Holland, Michigan,) he has spent his fair share of time training in the gym.
