Location tips for franchisees![]() Posted on September 01, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin Franchising can be a daunting prospect for any person new to the field, and one of the most important things to consider is where to set up shop. The right location can help franchisees maintain profitability. While a franchise can sometimes direct a new owner to one place or another, according to a recent interview with Inc. magazine, franchising expert Wayne Humphrey says that "at the end of the day, the franchisee is responsible for selecting his or her own site. Though the franchisee selects the site, they must also get the approval of the company." There are several different factors to consider when finding a location, including what type of visibility a place has, how many people pass by each day and how much it will cost to lease or purchase. Once a franchise location is able to get a customer in the door, it must maintain a good environment in order to keep them coming back. A consistently good experience will create a loyal following and help spread the word throughout the community.
