New England Hot Dog![]() Posted on September 17, 2008 by Pete Kosowski The New England Hot Dog Company of Beverly, Massachusetts plans 15 new restaurants in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Maria L. Hernandez and Luis Hernandez of Venezuela Food Centers, Inc. have signed an agreement to open fifteen restaurants and to act as the Regional Franchisor in the Miami-Dade County area. Future development is also planned for the Broward and Palm Beach counties.The first New England Hot Dog at Turnpike Square, Richmond Heights is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008. The second NEHD site at Redland Square and the third site at Dade Land Mall will open by the end of 2008. Other future sites are being negotiated at the Dolphin Mall, Miami University, FIU, and the Miami Beach area to be open in early 2009. The New England Hot Dog Company offers gourmet "haute" dogs. Diners pair their choices of 10 kinds of hot dogs with more than 48 possible toppings. The Miami-Dade New England Hot Dog locations will also be Co-branding with Blue Sky Creamery to complement the lineup of Gourmet Hot Dogs. A typical New England Hot Dog restaurant is about 1,500 square feet and seats 24 to 30 people. The restaurants all have free Wi-Fi and a children’s section "The Dog Pound". Flat-screen plasma TVs appear throughout the restaurants with appropriate viewing for all ages.
