New franchise center helps veterans![]() Posted on July 28, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin Military veterans looking to enter the franchising market will soon have a new place to go for answers, thanks to a recent announcement by the International Franchise Association. The newly formed Veteran Franchise Centers will help those who have served their country become involved in the franchise industry by showing them the most military-friendly franchises. The centers will be headed up by Lonnie Helgerson, an Army veteran who has years of experience in the franchising field. Hegelson is currently the chairman of the IFA VetFran committee and a Certified Franchise Executive. Across the United States, the VFC will open up franchised offices operated by veterans looking to help colleagues create strategic alliances with others who have served in the militarily. The VFC will also form partnerships with organizations in local areas such as banks and other financial institutions, in order to help franchise-interested veterans succeed. By forming groups with common bonds, such as a military background, many people interested in starting a franchise increase their chances of success. Groups all over the country unite in order to help like-minded franchisees get the best results possible.
