New magazines could help Canadian franchisees![]() Posted on September 14, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin Thanks to one entrepreneur, those interested in becoming franchisees in Canada will soon have two brand new resources to help them get started.Suburban.com reports that Jacques Desforges has launched two new magazines, Quebec Franchise and Canadian Opportunities, in order to make it easier for those interested to get involved in the franchising world. According to a recent interview with the website, Desforges said that he saw a need for these types of publications for Canadians. "All of the magazines to do with franchising were published in the U.S," said Desforges in an interview with the news provider. "I thought it was time to start one oriented to the Quebec franchise market ... It was a huge time for franchise expansion in Quebec, there was demand to keep potential franchisees informed and along with government programs being offered for independent business people." One franchise group recently made headlines after announcing a partnership for Canadian franchisees. iFranchise said that it would be joining with the Canadian Franchise Association in order to bring more franchise opportunities to the country. iFranchise's CEO, Mark Siebert, said that the organization was "proud to become a member" of the CFA.
