New resources for franchisees in Missouri![]() Posted on October 22, 2010 by Stacey Fousse Thanks to the efforts of one local library, entrepreneurs interested in franchising will soon have brand-new resources to learn more without spending a dime.In Maryville, Missouri, the public library has added a new collection of DVDs, audiobooks, and books, hoping to show those in town how they can successfully run a business of their own. According to the Maryville Daily Forum, Library Director Stephanie Patterson said that the new information would help people better understand the business opportunities available to them. "It seems that a growing number of our library patrons are toying with the idea of starting their own business," Patterson said. "We hope this collection will take some of the mystique out of the process and give them the confidence to take the next step. Maybe if they are able to explore the idea a little on their own, they'll get ready to talk to a bank or one of the local small business development professionals in our community." Many citizens in and around Missouri have taken advantage of franchise opportunities. Todd and Carissa Neimeyer are some of the most recent business owners to join the fast-growing field of yogurt franchising after they announced they would be opening a Tast D-Lite shop.
