Texas-Based Pizza Chain Reenergizes Local Pizza Marketplace

The Colony, Texas – Pizza Inn, Inc. (NASDAQ:PZZI), widely recognized for its high-quality, thick or thin pizzas made on fresh dough every day, announced today the opening of its newest restaurant in the Ft. Worth metropolitan area. Located at 9100 North Freeway in the new Sam Moon Center, the new restaurant is the first of three slated to open in the next eight months.

Pizza Inn will be hosting a grand opening event at the location on September 19, 2009 from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Gina Miller, noted sports anchor of CBS 11 TV and TXA 21 will be on hand to participate in a pizza making contest pitting her skills against Pizza Inn's well-known, pie flipping mascot JoJo. Each pizza made during the contest will generate a cash donation from Pizza Inn to Metroport Meals on Wheels to help feed home bound seniors in the North Ft. Worth area. Customers will be able to experience the great Pizza Inn buffet and sample hot pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and wings as a local DJ entertains the crowd. Face painters and balloon artists will be on hand to entertain the entire family. Prizes will be awarded for a "Guess the Pepperonis" game and you can also register in the Sweepstakes drawing to win two airline tickets, a 32" HD TV or two tickets to Six Flags.

The new restaurant will offer Pizza Inn's famous pizza buffet featuring all the pizza, pasta, and Pizzert® desserts you can eat as well as a trip to the always fresh and full of variety salad bar. The restaurant also features convenient home delivery and carryout services and Pizza Inn's famous Thin Crust pizza as a Take and Bake option, giving customers the ultimate flexibility to bake their pizza when they want it in the convenience of their own kitchen.
