SIGN BIZ® SALES CONSULTANT OF THE YEAR AWARD

"Outside the Box Thinking" Earns 2010 Accolades

Orlando, FL - The Sales Consultant of the Year Awards (SCOYAs) , the country's only nationwide competition celebrating the accomplishments of the Sign Biz Network's most successful digital sign consultants, has just announced this year's award winner for sales achieved in the calendar year of 2009. As part of THYNK 2010, this year's International Convention for the Sign Biz Network, hosted in Orlando, Florida, the SCOYA was presented at a gala ceremony and party held at the Doubletree Resort on International Drive, and attended by more than 120 business owners and industry dignitaries.

It was the accomplishments of Bonnie Major, Sales Consultant for Sign-Age in Tampa Bay, Florida, that earned her the organization's highest honors for sales. She was so surprised by the acknowledgement, she burst into tears. Sign Biz Inc., host of the convention and award ceremonies, presented a crystal award and wall plaque to Major. Teresa M. Young, President and CEO of the Sign Biz Corporation explained, "We were extremely impressed with this year's award nominees and their work truly represented some of the best new thinking. It was clear that one nominee's achievements stood out for the inspired 'no limitations' customer service approach that garnered her success."

Linda Levitan and Mike Quigley, husband and wife team, own the million-dollar sign company that employs Major. Levitan submitted the entry form, and noted Major's achievements: "In May, 2009, Bonnie closed a $214,468 sale with Mathews Construction for a Baggage Claim Area Renovation Project at Tampa Bay International Airport. And not a single sign was included in the contract." Levitan explained, "Initially the project included removing 18-8' x 34' priceless tapestries…. Over a 3-month period… Bonnie kept up-selling the job until the contract not only included removal and temporary storage, but she also sold the cleaning, repair and reinstallation of the tapestries."

The entire project became part of an exciting presentation during a General Session at the convention, where all attendees learned of the challenge and successful results that came with "thinking outside the box." The project included working with a tapestry conservator, and learning how to transport and clean these 30-year-old works of art. Levitan adds, "Bonnie sold our Creativity, Quality, Focus, Attention to Detail, and Project Management Capabilities. It all started with our reputation for tackling unusual projects."

In its 14th consecutive year, the SCOYAs spotlight the talents and successes of the country's top sales producer in the Sign Biz Network, the digital sign industry's largest chain of non-franchised sign companies. The nominees' names and achievements are submitted by their employers - entrepreneurs that hire and train the sales personnel for their independently-owned businesses.

"As the only digital sign chain of its kind, we're proud to acknowledge the achievements of the Sign Biz Network's innovators," adds Young.
