Teaming up with government initiatives can help franchises![]() Posted on October 13, 2010 by Franchise Gator Admin One of the best ways for franchises to get noticed is by teaming up with the government's health initiatives. By attaching a brand to an already established program, franchises can get some much-needed exposure while helping a good cause in the process. One of the most recent franchises to jump on the trend has been the inflatable private party company Pump It Up, which announced that it would be joining with the Advertising Council in order to promote an anti-childhood-obesity program called Jump It Up! The program will encourage children to exercise at the franchise's many locations throughout the country, giving them incentives each time they return and engage in activities. "It's troubling that nearly one-third of children 2 to 19 years old are overweight or obese, but with more than six million children visiting our stores each year, we have a tremendous opportunity to help reverse this trend," said Lee Knowlton, CEO and president of Pump It Up. "The Jump It Up! Challenge is a straightforward and engaging program that allows children to participate in safe and fun physical activity, a critical component to a healthy lifestyle." Fitness-based franchises are some of the fastest-growing franchises in the United States. With more people than ever putting a priority on healthy living, the possibilities may be endless for franchisees.
