Technology is important to running franchises smoothly

Franchises must constantly be shifting their business strategies in order to better serve the needs of their client base. If a brand introduces a new strategy that is effective, it can often help independent business owners associated with it.

Having the right technology is crucial to the success of any franchise. By having all parts of the business plugged in, customers will get served in a more efficient way and, as a result, drive higher sales.

One of the fastest-growing franchises using technology to its advantage is Arby's Restaurant Group. The chain, known for its signature roast beef sandwiches, honored Systems Services of America with its Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award. The technology firm was given the award during the Arby's Worldwide Franchise Convention in Phoenix.

"Winning this award was no easy task," said David Cox, president of ARCOP, a nonprofit group within Arby's. "Each year, our distribution centers are rated across several key performance areas. A laser focus on customer service, as well as innovative technology solutions, pushed SSA to the top of the list."

No matter what the franchise, it is important to have the most up-to-date technology. By being connected through different networks, both individual business owners and their corporate parents may be able to increase profits.
