UPS stores offer travelers luggage solutions

Air travelers often have a difficult time when it comes to shipping luggage across the country. Thanks to a recent announcement by a packaging franchise, those trying to get luggage from one place to another are about to have an easier time.

The UPS store recently announced that it would be introducing a luggage box for customers in order to help them save on long lines at the airport and luggage fees.

“Not having to carry a suitcase while traveling is a great convenience. Even better is luggage awaiting your arrival at a destination or hotel,” said John Minetola, a UPS Store franchisee from Wyoming, Pennsylvania. “You can ship your luggage as is; place it in a box for shipment, or at select locations purchase a luggage box, eliminating the need for a suitcase altogether.”

The company also announced that it would be giving discounts to customers who are members of AAA. On all purchases, members of the group are eligible for a 15-percent discount, as long as they evidence that they are members of the group either with a card or another form of proof.

UPS was in the news in recent days after introducing a new service that will allow customers to drop returns in mailboxes rather than having to go all the way to a store's location.
