The restaurant, located at 401 This Way Street in Lake Jackson, Texas, opened its doors in March. Wingstop franchise owner Carol Porter first introduced Wingstop to Houston 10 years ago with the opening her restaurant at 2319 S. Kirkwood Road. Soon after the concept quickly spread throughout the city. In 2009 Wingstop was named the \"Preferred Wings of the Houston Texans\" and today the market ties with Los Angeles as the second largest in growth. "Wingstop has a tremendous presence in the Houston area, and that’s thanks to our loyal guests, great product and experienced network of restaurant owners and operators,\" said Khoa Ngo, president of the Wingstop Houston Co-op. "We’re very proud of our status with the Texans and Wingstop’s place in the Houston community. We look forward to opening our next 50 stores!\" The 50th store is located in Lake Jackson and is owned and operated by Noel Silva and his wife Angie. After an eight-year career in the military, Silva returned to the Houston area last year to launch his own business. \"My wife and I grew up in Lake Jackson and we’re excited to be back and bring Wingstop to our hometown,\" said Silva. \"The opportunity with Wingstop came at the perfect time. Houston loves wings and we are happy to serve our guests!\" The Lake Jackson location is open from 11 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, and a grand opening celebration is scheduled for later this month. About Wingstop Founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, Wingstop has more than 435 restaurants open across the United States and Mexico.
