Wisconsin franchisee speaks to members of Congress

One franchisee from Wisconsin recently got the opportunity to voice his opinion to some of the most powerful people in the country - members of Congress.

Glass Magazine reports that David Kozlowski, owner of Glass Doctor of South East Wisconsin, got the opportunity to speak to various members of Congress, all of whom represent his home state of Wisconsin. Among the people at the meeting with Kozlowski were Representatives Tammy Baldwin, James Sensenbrenner, Paul Ryan and Senator Herb Kohl. He told them that franchises were incredibly important to the health of the U.S. economy and that franchisees all over the country provided important jobs and tax dollars.

"In Wisconsin, there are more than 17,000 franchised businesses directly providing more than 216,000 jobs and contributing $15.9 billion to the U.S. economy," Kozlowski said in a release. "Nationwide for every $1 billion in lending, franchise businesses can create over 40,000 jobs and $4.2 billion in economic output. I would like to make sure some of that potential lending comes to Wisconsin."

Glass Doctor was in the news recently after it announced that it would be holding classes at its Glass Doctor University. The classes will train technicians on how best to replace windshields.
