Award-Winning FHA Architects to Design Gamer Doc™ Video Game Store Interiors

SEATTLE, Wash., and OMAHA Neb.,– Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that award-winning FHA Architects, based in Omaha, Neb., will provide design services for its store interiors. Harlan Faust, principal architect, is leading the design team.

            “The concepts we’re developing will change the way the video game store is interpreted,” Faust said. “Conventional store designs resemble a library, with shelves and stacks of games. When customers walk into Gamer Doc, they will feel like they’re walking into a video game, not a video game store, experiencing the action, sounds and excitement of the game.”

Upon entering Gamer Doc, consumers may find themselves in a burned-out building, as if they are in a first-person shooter battle zone, or on board a futuristic “Borg Spaceship,” or in a carefree, cartoon-character atmosphere. Each design concept features special lighting, environmental, and sound effects to enhance the interactive experience.

            “My partner David Huether and I have worked with Harlan on design projects over the years for various retail chains,” said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. “Harlan is a master at designing environments that enhance the relationship between customer and employee, and we are very excited to have him bring our concepts to life. Gamer Doc will not be just a video game store, but an experience for people to get involved in.”
