C2 Education Franchise Named Pinnacle Small Business Award Winner![]() Posted on March 29, 2007 by ATLANTA, – Educational services provider C2 Education has been named one of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s 2007 Pinnacle Small Business Award Winners. The Pinnacle Awards are presented annually in recognition of emerging businesses that demonstrate steady growth and outstanding community leadership. In early 2006 C2 Education relocated its corporate headquarters to Atlanta, Georgia. There are now thirteen C2 centers in operation in the state. This past year Georgia’s nationwide average SAT score standing rose from 48th to 45th. “We’re thrilled by the quick success,” says C2 president David Kim, “but we’re determined to keep sight of the fact that what we’re building is more than numbers.” Indeed, C2 has become an active member of the educational community, engaging in partnerships with local schools such as Chattahoochee and Alpharetta High Schools.
In addition to C2’s Pinnacle win, Kim has been nominated as Gwinnett County’s Small Business Person of the Year. Kim founded C2 Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a home-based tutoring service and presided over its subsequent expansion. C2 engages in educational partnerships with local schools, which include SAT workshops, diagnostic testing for assessment, and financial contributions to school programs. C2 is also an approved No Child Left Behind provider. C2 was chosen from a pool of 300 applicants for the Pinnacle honor. The company was also recently honored as a Forbes Enterprise finalist. About C2 Education – C2 is the fastest-growing tutoring and test preparation company in the United States. In 2006, C2’s students showed, on average, a 350 point score increase, as compared to the 100 point increase of students at other educational centers. C2 plans to open another 300 centers by 2008.
