Educational Service Provides Students with a Tool to Help Them Decide Which Test is Best 

Chyten Educational Services, a premier provider of test preparation and tutoring services announced that it has begun offering its students America’s first ACT vs. SAT Comparison test.  With ACT gaining a foothold in the Eastern & Western United States,  & with every college in America now accepting ACT as readily as they accept SAT, many students are left wondering which test to take – which test matches their academic abilities.  While practice versions of both tests are available, no one test existed that could measure a student’s relative abilities on both.  That is, until now. 

 “There was a clear deficit in the test preparation industry that had to be addressed”, stated Chyten founder & CEO Neil Chyten.  “And taking both tests was not a realistic option because students are already pressed for time and heading straight for test burnout.”  Clearly a solution was needed.  Chyten & his team spent the summer of 2007 brainstorming a single diagnostic tool that would predict a student’s relative performance on ACT & SAT.  Chyten’s  ACT vs. SAT Comparison test is now being administered exclusively at Chyten’s Education Centers in MA., NY. CT, NC, & MD. It will also be offered in Chyten’s Education Centers in NJ, PA & AZ slated to open in the next few months.  

For a fee of $75.00, any student, whether a Chyten client or not, can come to a Chyten Educational Center & take the test, under real conditions, led by a Chyten certified proctor.   Within days, the exam is hand-scored (including two essays) and a detailed 11-page report is sent to parents.  Chyten further indicated that students who enroll in their tutoring services within 30 days of taking the exam will get double the cost of the test, $150 , applied toward the cost of that tutoring. 

“The report details each student’s results on every section, and provides information about each section along with strategies for increasing scores.”  Chyten goes on to say that the report also “provides information on each student’s relative performance on ACT vs. SAT, and the strength of each student’s relative ability.”
