College Hunks Hauling Junk Announces First Franchise

Posted on May 24, 2007 by

Founded by a group of college kids during summer vacation, College Hunks Hauling Junk has evolved into a million- dollar, multi-truck corporation, announcing the sale of its first franchise.

Washington, DC –  College Hunks Hauling Junk, the innovative Washington, DC based junk removal company, recently sold its first franchise, a three territory agreement, with Central Florida resident Faisal Ansari, son of Orlando businessman Tahir Ansari.

Mr. Ansari plans to leverage the company’s creative marketing strategy to service Central Florida’s growing demand for junk removal. “College Hunks Hauling Junk offered me a low-cost, marketable and streamlined junk removal operation,” Ansari states.

The profitable College Hunks Hauling Junk concept started when former high school classmates Omar Soliman and Nick Friedman began hauling junk using their mom’s cargo van. They have since transformed a temporary summer gig into a million-dollar enterprise, recently announcing junk removal franchise opportunities for sale nationwide.

"With the completion of our proprietary software, manuals, and legal documents, we plan to grow our franchise program systematically by offering streamlined operations, a central call center, and a highly marketable brand name," states Omar Soliman, College Hunks Hauling Junk CEO.

Recruiting employees on college campuses provide customers with clean-cut and friendly teams, “creating a company culture that is not typical for a trash removal business,” states Nick Friedman, College Hunks Hauling Junk President. “We’re excited about our first franchise sale, and we look forward to making College Hunks Hauling Junk a household name throughout the country.”

Over 60% of jobs are residential, and many of the customers are female housewives desperately battling packrat husbands, which is no coincidence the attractive brand is so popular. Larger contracts have been completed for commercial clients such as USAirways and Securities Exchange Commission.

In order to position itself for national expansion, College Hunks Hauling Junk purchased a toll-free phone number for $13,500.

Customers can book their junk removal appointments online as well as vote for the “Hunk of the Semester” in the company’s “Hunk ‘Haul’ of Fame.”
