HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – elements therapeutic massage, one of the fastest-growing franchisors of massage therapy studios in America, recently hosted the company's first annual national convention in Breckenridge, Colo. where four franchisees won top honors.

Husband and wife Nelson and Pam Crespo, one of Arizona's Area Directors and owner of elements therapeutic massage of Scottsdale Promenade in Scottsdale, Ariz., were awarded Area Director of the Year by the franchise company. The award honors the Area Director who has impacted their franchisees' growth and development the most during the last year.

Also from Scottsdale, Mike Wright, owner of elements therapeutic massage on the Shea, received the Rising Star award for making the greatest improvement during the last year. Wright increased the total number of massages given in his studio by 500 in one year, and doubled its membership in seven months.

Colleen O'Connor, owner of elements therapeutic massage of Westport Village in Louisville, Ky., received the Owner of the Year award which is given to the franchisee who has shown great devotion and passion for the elements business model, champions the massage therapy industry and operates an outstanding studio. O'Connor opened the first elements location in Kentucky and currently has 285 members at her studio, consistently ranking among the 15 top performers in the elements network.

John Pantera, owner of elements therapeutic massage of East Longmeadow, Mass., received the Biggest Opening of 2008 award. Measured by the number of members added, massages completed and the amount of revenue generated, Pantera's studio led the franchise network. In the first six weeks after opening, the studio added 64 members and completed 624 massages. Pantera's studio regularly ranks within the 30 top performing studios in the nationwide franchise system.

"We were pleased to recognize the Crespos, Mike, Colleen and John for their outstanding achievements last year," said Kyle Gjersee, chief operating officer and senior vice president for elements therapeutic massage. "They have demonstrated passion and dedication to their businesses and each owner has built a tremendous team of professionals. They have also become role models to their peers on how to operate a successful studio as we continue to grow the franchise network across the U.S."

The elements convention was a two-day event that included an awards ceremony, breakout sessions and presentations from industry experts, preferred vendors and the elements executive team.

"In addition to honoring our top performers, the convention allowed all our franchisees a chance to connect with each other and take advantage of valuable educational opportunities, strengthening our brand from the inside out," said Gjersee. "This is a huge milestone for our company and we already look forward to next year's convention."
