Entrepreneur Brings Barbecue to Hometown with New Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Natchitoches, LA — Lee Waskom’s résumé includes experience in property development and management, a chain of college book stores and a Smoothie King franchise. On Thursday, September 25 at 11 a.m., Waskom takes on barbecue when he opens the first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Natchitoches. To celebrate his new endeavor, Waskom is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration. The first 50 dine-in guests receive gift cards worth up to $50.

“We are located right across from my alma mater, Northwestern State University, and near two other schools, making this the perfect location for students and staff to grab great barbecue,” said first time franchise owner, Lee Waskom. “I love this community and I’m looking forward to working with different campus organizations for caterings and fundraisers.”
