Fishing for Something Nutritious and Delicious? Moe's Southwest Grill Franchise Adds Grilled Tilapia![]() Posted on February 26, 2007 by Nothing Fishy About Adding Flavor, Lean Protein and Omega-3 to Your Burritos, Tacos, Nachos, Quesadillas and Salads ATLANTA – Even though the New Year’s resolutions have fallen by the wayside, Moe’s Southwest Grill reminds consumers that healthy eating is always an option at Moe’s all year long. Following up on Moe’s commitment to offering consumers the freshest ingredients and healthy options, the burrito leader is announcing its new grilled tilapia – a tender and flavorful fish low in calories and high in protein along with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Moe’s fans already know the joy of Moe’s fish tacos – a southwest delicacy from the sea in a steamed soft-shell tortilla filled with Southwestern slaw, pico de gallo; and topped off with Moe’s signature chipotle ranch sauce. But Moe’s grilled tilapia is also a great complement and healthy addition to any of Moe’s signature burritos, quesadillas or salads. “We started Moe’s with a commitment to the freshest ingredients by not allowing freezers or MSG in our stores and are working to removing trans fats from our menu while adding some more heart-healthy options like the grilled tilapia,” said Matt Andrew, senior vice president and brand leader for Moe’s Southwest Grill. “The grilled tilapia is a perfect fit with our fans’ busy lifestyles, which don’t always make healthy on-the-go eating an option.” As Moe’s moves to eliminate trans-fat from its products by this summer, choosing the grilled Tilapia in any of Moe’s fresh-made dishes makes any of Moe’s fresh and healthy lunch or dinner options even healthier. A three ounce serving of Tilapia – the amount in a Moe’s burrito – contains approximately 21 grams of protein, more than 100 mg of omega-3 fatty acids, and less than one gram of fat.
